The Sterling City Ag Mechanics Team wrapped up the show season with a successful showing at the Houston Ag Mechanics Show. It started with blue ribbons and ended with backdrop pictures and prizes to go with them. Wayland Foster placed 🥉in his class with his 20’. Bumper pull trailer. Cason McCrea, Slate Clark, Lincoln McElroy, Sheldon Coxey and Vance Davis placed 🥈in their class and placed 🥇in Tractor Showmanship. Congratulations and way to finish out the show season!

Congratulations to our Texas High School State Rodeo Finalists! We are so proud of these outstanding students for advancing to the state level and representing our school and Region 2 with excellence: Best of luck at the state rodeo—we are cheering you on all the way!

We hope all of our parents, guardians, and students had a wonderful spring break filled with family time, relaxation, and making great memories! We are excited to welcome everyone back tomorrow as we jump into the final stretch of the school year. It will be here before we know it! Here’s a look at the week ahead, and it is a BUSY one! Here’s a look at the week of Spring Break and the week after. Wishing everyone a safe, fun, and relaxing break!

JH Tennis Schedule

During the 4th six weeks, we had 38 students in grades 6–12 who achieved perfect attendance. Congratulations to these students for their dedication and commitment to being present and engaged in their learning.

The freshman class earned the highest attendance percentage for the 4th six weeks, with an impressive 96.79%. Their consistent attendance reflects their strong work ethic and dedication to success.

The Shattered Dreams program took place on March 11–12 for our high school students. This program provided a powerful and eye-opening scenario that helped students see the real-life consequences of drinking and driving. It was a meaningful experience that encouraged students to think about the importance of making safe and responsible decisions.

We are very thankful to the Sterling City Sheriff’s Office for organizing and presenting this program for our students. Their time and effort helped make this impactful learning experience possible.

We are proud of these three seniors for finishing their CNA clinical hours.

This experience gave them the opportunity to work in a real healthcare setting and learn valuable skills about responsibility, professionalism, and caring for others. Completing their clinical hours is an important step, and they worked hard to get there.

𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 We would like to inform the community about our upcoming Shattered Dreams program taking place on Wednesday, March 11th, at 1:30 p.m. in the Sterling City's ISD parking lot. This is designed to educate students on the real-life consequences of impaired and distracted driving. The event will include a staged vehicle crash, with student participants portraying injuries and being transported by EMS and Med Flight as part of the demonstration. *Please note that there will be a heavy law enforcement and EMS presence before and during the program. There is no cause for alarm—all activity is planned and part of the program.

The week before Spring Break is here, and it’s going to fly by! We have a lot of exciting activities planned for our students:

Your Eagles had an amazing day on the course! Although they did not bring home any hardware, they still improved tremendously and missed second place by just one stroke!⛳️🦅

⭐️ This year, Sterling City ISD competed in the Spanish Spelling Bee at Region 15 in San Angelo. Our 5th and 6th graders did a great job competing for their first time. 🥇We are super excited to announce that Dylan Padron won the 6th-8th grade competition and will advance to state! We are so proud! 💛 A special thanks to Ms. Daniela Ortiz for coaching our students.
