We want to send a huge shoutout to our student panel that attended our Community Summit!
Your willingness to share your voices, experiences, and perspectives made an impact on everyone in the room. We are so proud of the way you represented our school and community with confidence.

In Mrs. Maxcey’s class, our seniors had an unforgettable hands-on learning experience dissecting a shark!
From exploring anatomy up close to making real-world connections, this was a great opportunity to dive deeper into science. We are so proud of these students for staying engaged and making the most of every moment in the classroom.

Here’s a look at what’s coming up next week!

Congratulations to Kenny Ortega!!
We are excited to share that he has been selected as a National Top 15 Finalist for the
2026 FCCLA National Leadership Conference Scholarship which will be in Washington D.C.
this summer. His application will now move forward to a final review by a committee of FCCLA Board of Directors Members, who will select the final scholarship recipients.

The Sterling City Ag Mechanics Team wrapped up the show season with a successful showing at the Houston Ag Mechanics Show. It started with blue ribbons and ended with backdrop pictures and prizes to go with them.
Wayland Foster placed 🥉in his class with his 20’. Bumper pull trailer.
Cason McCrea, Slate Clark, Lincoln McElroy, Sheldon Coxey and Vance Davis placed 🥈in their class and placed 🥇in Tractor Showmanship.

JH Tennis Schedule

During the 4th six weeks, we had 38 students in grades 6–12 who achieved perfect attendance. Congratulations to these students for their dedication and commitment to being present and engaged in their learning.
The freshman class earned the highest attendance percentage for the 4th six weeks, with an impressive 96.79%. Their consistent attendance reflects their strong work ethic and dedication to success.
