Today our seniors had the opportunity to participate in mock interviews, and it was truly a meaningful and rewarding experience for everyone involved. This opportunity allowed students to practice real-world interview skills, learn how to present themselves professionally, and build confidence as they prepare for life after graduation.
Experiences like this help bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world. Mock interviews give students a safe environment to learn, grow, and receive valuable feedback that will help them succeed in future job, college, and scholarship interviews. We are incredibly proud of the effort, maturity, and professionalism our seniors demonstrated today.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the community members who generously gave their time to invest in our students and make this opportunity possible: Scot Long (Bank), Ashley Smith (Diamond W Boutique), Russell Irby (Sheriff), Laura Flores (Day Care), and Tommy Wright (The Feed Store). Your willingness to support and encourage our seniors plays an important role in preparing them for a successful future, and we truly appreciate your partnership and commitment to our students.
A special thank you to Mrs. Amanda Johnston for organizing and putting this wonderful opportunity together for our students.

So proud of these three seniors as they begin their CNA clinical hours!
No matter what path they choose after graduation, this experience will teach them responsibility, compassion, professionalism, and the importance of caring for others. Stepping into a real-world setting and serving patients is a big milestone, and they have worked hard to earn this opportunity.

Tonight after the boys basketball game, students who ordered a letter jacket will be presented with their jackets.

Parents, thank you for your flexibility with drop off and dismissal while the road construction is occurring. Based on conversations with the company, please plan on utilizing the back for the rest of the week. Secondary parents, please plan on picking your students up from the back as well. They will open the road up as soon as they are done.

Parents, please see the attached picture for the current traffic flow for student drop-off and pick-up while construction in front of the school is ongoing. We are hopeful the construction will be completed soon and will communicate with everyone as soon as drop-off and pick-up can return to normal.
High school parents, please help us remind students to continue entering through 7th Street and not Church Street.
Also, until construction is complete, if your student arrives late or needs to be picked up early, please park at the gym and come to the office to sign them in or out. Thank you for your patience and support during this time.

Parents, if your student arrives late, please park at the gym and walk your student to the office.
As many of you may have noticed, road work is currently taking place in front of the school. Teachers who normally park in front of the building may park in front of the gym during this time. Parent drop-off will take place at the back of the school. Please drop students off at the back cafeteria doors. To stay consistent with the high school student traffic flow, please enter from 7th Street by the gym and exit onto Church Street. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work through this temporary change.
Please take a moment to review this week’s Week at a Glance to stay informed about what is happening on campus.
We also want to remind you that next week will be a full 5-day school week. Friday the 13th will be a make-up day for the snow day we previously missed, and school will follow a normal schedule.
Thank you for your continued support and for helping ensure your students are present and ready to learn each day. We appreciate you partnering with us to make our school successful!
Have a great week!

Our 7th grade students have been hard at work learning across multiple subjects!
In English, students are exploring different types of drama, building their understanding of dialogue, characters, and how stories come to life through performance and script.
In Science, students are learning all about how the heart works. They are studying the parts of the heart, how blood flows through the body, and why the cardiovascular system is so important to keeping us healthy and strong.
We are proud of the effort our students are putting into their learning each day.
