Due to hazardous weather conditions and the forecast for today and tomorrow, Sterling City ISD will close all campuses tomorrow, Monday, January 26. Please stay home and stay safe. Here is the Week at a Glance for next week.
As you’ve likely heard, we are expecting a very cold weekend. Please be sure to keep your phones charged and your ringers turned up. If weather conditions extend into Monday, we will notify families as soon as possible.

As the weather forecast is showing chances of inclement weather, we wanted to give an update and insight into the decision making process at Sterling City ISD and share information that will be helpful to our school community.
Stay in the loop:
- If you have not, please download the Sterling City app, available in all app stores. This is your one-stop shop for all things Sterling City ISD.
-We also use the app for all calls and text message updates. If you have not been receiving updates, please check with your campus secretary to ensure we have correct contact information.
When will we know if there is a schedule change?
- The district leadership team works closely with the Sterling County Sheriff's office to monitor weather and road conditions and consider multiple factors before making any schedule adjustments.
- The goal for decisions regarding delays or cancellations is to make it as early as possible. We will make every effort to make a decision the night before school, but ever changing forecasts and weather can make this difficult. If a decision has to be made on the day of, we will make that decision as early as possible.

Our amazing FCS students went above and beyond in preparing a delicious meal for our Board Appreciation. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and it truly showed. The food was incredible, and the atmosphere they created was calm, welcoming, and relaxing—something everyone genuinely enjoyed after a long day. It was more than just a meal; it was an experience filled with care and pride in their work. Thank you to our outstanding students and their dedicated teacher for the time, effort, and heart you poured into this evening. Your hard work, teamwork, and talent did not go unnoticed, and we are so proud of you all.

Here is a look at the week ahead at Sterling City ISD. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to a productive week with our students.

During the third six weeks, the 9th grade class had the highest attendance rate on campus for the second consecutive six weeks. Several students also earned perfect attendance, which is truly commendable. Their consistency, dedication, and commitment to being present each day sets a strong example for the entire campus.
In recognition of these efforts, all 9th grade students, along with those who achieved perfect attendance, were rewarded with a special treat from Dairy Queen.

Congratulations to Slate Clark!!
